Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of tablemahjong.com and the optional Table Mahjong Plus membership.

These terms are an agreement between you and Adrian Fernandez, an individual in Texas, USA, operating as Table Mahjong ("Table Mahjong", "we", "us"), which runs tablemahjong.com. By using Table Mahjong you agree to these terms.

Age and parental permission

You must be at least 13 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to play. With parental permission, children may play solo and create or join private rooms with an invite code as guests. Parental permission does not unlock Quick Match, text chat in any room (including private rooms), photo avatars anywhere, voice/video, or purchases. Parents should supervise private-room play and keep invite codes within their trusted group.

Until you answer, the app treats you as age-eligible for Quick Match, photo uploads, push subscriptions and promo / upsell UI. For unknown-age players, photo avatars are replaced with a standard avatar in public rooms and Quick Match. The app asks for a birth year only when you first try text chat (including in private rooms), voice or video, or checkout / billing portal. We store that birth year on your account or device (not a full date of birth), derive 13plus or under13 from it, and never re-ask. Answers are locked permanently and non-retryable in the app — contact hello@tablemahjong.com about an incorrect restriction.

Because we only collect a year, we use a conservative rule so lift happens after you have turned 13: you become 13plus on 1 January (UTC) of the year birthYear + 14 (we assume a birthday as late as 31 December of your birth year). On that date restrictions lift automatically with no re-ask, and any account child-lock is cleared.

Confirmed under-13 players cannot use Quick Match, text chat in any room (including private rooms), audio/video, checkout/billing, account sign-in or create paths that are age-blocked, photo uploads, push subscribe, notify-me, or photo avatars anywhere. Promo and upsell CTAs are hidden only for confirmed under-13 players. They may still play solo and use private invite codes where the product allows.

Player safety

Do not harass players, share inappropriate material or solicit personal information from children. Use Player safety at a table to report or block another participant. Reports are reviewed by administrators; reporting does not guarantee an immediate response. Quick Match currently uses preset emotes and has no free-text, audio or video chat.

Playing and accounts

Guest play is free: solo play against the computer, private rooms with friends, and Quick Match. You can sign in with Google or by email. Keep your sign-in access private and use the game respectfully. Only upload images you have permission to use. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Contact us if you need help with your account.

Table Mahjong Plus

When checkout is available, Table Mahjong Plus is an optional subscription at $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year (US dollars). It includes Create your vibe (the table studio), saved designs, photo uploads, lanterns, monogram tiles, premium mats and backdrops, private-room host vibes, and the Halloween pack (objects, mats, backdrops and effects). Checkout shows the price and billing interval before you pay. It renews automatically until canceled. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Applicable sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout by Stripe Tax and shown before you pay.

Free early access

While early access is open, signed-in players aged 13 or older can turn on Table Mahjong Plus, including the Halloween pack, for free. Early access is free and we never ask for payment details. It may end or change at any time; we’ll give at least 14 days’ notice in the app, and by email if you’ve opted in, before it ends. Features may change and are provided as is.

No automatic conversion. Early access never turns into a paid subscription by itself. You’ll be charged only if you separately choose to subscribe and complete checkout. Paid Plus is coming soon at an expected $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year plus applicable tax; prices may change before launch.

Your designs are saved. If early access ends, they’ll be locked until you subscribe, then they come right back. When early access ends, Plus-only items stay saved but are shown locked, and the game uses the free look until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted. One early-access enrollment per person; we may revoke it for abuse. Early access is one-time: once it ends or is closed for your account, it can’t be turned on again. Subscribing to Plus restores your saved designs. There are no founder perks.

Canceling and refunds

You can cancel anytime. Use Manage membership on tablemahjong.com (web) to open the Stripe billing portal and cancel future renewal. Ordinary cancellation keeps access until the end of the paid period. Plan switching is not available in the billing portal for this version. Cancel, then choose the other plan when your period ends, or email us for help.

For a new purchase, email us within 3 days for a full refund. Accidental or duplicate charges are always refunded. Renewal charges are not refundable except accidental or duplicate charges; cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. A refund ends access funded by the refunded invoice once cumulative refunds cover the full charge. A partial refund keeps access for the paid period. Opening a payment dispute suspends Stripe membership access and cancels the disputed subscription and future renewals. A win restores otherwise-valid paid access without restarting billing. Saved designs and photos

When membership ends, saved designs and uploaded photos are kept. Premium items (studio features, premium mats and backdrops, and Halloween pack items) are locked when membership ends, and the table falls back to the default look except for the saved-photo and existing-room exceptions below. Your saved choices come back if you subscribe again. Existing photos can still be selected locally on your device. Member-only account and room use can be locked until membership resumes. Eligible saved mat and backdrop photos remain usable locally on your device. Sharing uploaded photos in new rooms requires active membership. A host vibe already shared in a room stays visible in that room. Refunds and disputes do not delete photos.

Account deletion and privacy

To delete your account, email us. Deleting your account cancels active subscriptions first. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

Changes and availability

We may update the game, membership features or these terms. If we make a material change to paid terms, we will tell members before it takes effect. The game is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts in Collin County, Texas.
